I won’t begin to say that we have had a tough start to the year…..However, this is a great read from Chief Investment Strategist Liz Ann Sonders
at Charles Schwab, putting things in perspective a bit. Naturally, this doesn’t take away the sting of a close to 15% decline
from June of 2015 until now but it does give some good reading on history and how long past corrections have lasted and unfolded.
Remember, not too long ago, in 2011, under different circumstances the Dow dropped about 20% and recovered.
Here a couple of quick bullets, the full story is below, which I would recommend spending a quick 10 minutes to read.
Key Points
•Worst start to a year in history
•Barring recession, pain should be limited to correction, not bear market
•“Smart money” getting more enthusiastic
